Tom Ariel, 30, lives in Tel-Aviv, Born and raised in Kibbutz Givat Oz, north Israel.
Nati and Tom met during their BFA studies at Shenkar multidisciplinary art school.
When they started working together, Nati considered himself as a painter while Tom specialized in photography. As long as their friendship has grown and developed, and although their different backgrounds, they found a common path of creativity.
On their first project together, they were both interested in exploring the human intervention in nature, an exploration that brought them to start walking around quarries across the country and photograph in these sites. their interest in places and objects in nature that man has used and abandoned is still leading them.
Today they consider themselves as a collaborative duo.
During the years they developed their own practice. They travelling across the country, looking for abandoned places to expose, trying to give them new lives by shooting them in their own method.
They photograph with analogue cameras in large format, which has a lot of quality advantages and also requires a longer stay on the shooting site.
